Meursault 1er Cru
“Le Poruzot”

This appellation appeared on the wine-list of the Domaine in 2003, after the purchase of a first parcel of Poruzots. A second parcel was bought afterwards. « Le Poruzot » broadens the range of Meursault Premiers Crus of the Domaine.

Viticultural methods:

The soils are tilled, vines pruned in guyot simple, de-budding adapted to the age of the vineyard and its vigor, sustainable agriculture, manual harvest.

Vinification and ageing

Vinification:
The grapes are pressed, then racked in temperature controlled tanks for 24 hours. No artificial yeasts added, exclusively indigenous yeasts to maintain the typicity of the terroir and of the vintage. Fermentation in barrels at the natural temperature of the cellar.
Ageing:
The wine is bottled after 15-18 months of aging on the lees. Racking occurs after the malolactic fermentation. Filtration if necessary according to the vintage. Bottling at the domaine.

100% oak – 30% new barrels

These two old parcels produce wines with the elegance of Goutte d’Or and the richness of Charmes.
Tasting note:
Powerful and well-balanced nose, with citrus and dried fruits and vanilla aromas. The mouth is fresh and generous, with white flowers, fresh butter touches and a beautiful length.

5 – 15 years

12°C – 14°C
Wine pairing:
This Meursault 1er Cru will be well appreciated for aperitif. It will perfectly go with sea food, fine fishes and poultry.
